This course is a 2 day, 16 hour course
The standard 12-lead EKG is a representation of the heart's electrical activity recorded from electrodes on the body surface.

Basic + 12 Lead ECG/EKG Interpretation
Our basic ECG/EKG interpretation course is a 2 day, 16 hour course that allows students to gain confidence and understanding of how to read basic ECG results.
Our instructors make sure that they spend time with each participant in order to affect clear understanding and optimal results from the class. If you are looking to refresh your skills, or gain some new ones in ECG/EKG interpretation, this training class is for you.
16 hours (2 day)
This course requires basic EKG skills, and is designed to help you improve them.

12-Lead EKG
Fear no more! In a fun, fast 8 hours, the Prevention Priority 12-lead EKG course will give you the confidence you need to assess for patterns of ischemia, injury and myocardial death and then comfortably communicate your findings.
Topics include:
- criteria and assessment of MI
- indications of septal anterior, posterior, lateral, inferior, atrial and right ventricular involvement
- axis deviation and the treatment options and requirements for each of them
We feel that repetition yields success; therefore you will have many opportunities to interpret EKGs with our faculty at your side.
Basic EKG skills are necessary for this course.

An (IABP) "intra-aortic balloon pump" is a mechanical device. It helps your heart pump more blood.
Cardiac assist device training is important for emergency training.

Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump
The fact is that the IABP saves lives and is often underutilized. This may occur for a variety of reasons but lack of familiarity and education should not be one of them! In this course you will discover the truly fascinating world of cardiac assist devices that are designed to minimize oxygen consumption and maximize delivery and cardiac output. Does the very sound of that scare you? Great! You are exactly the person we specialize in teaching! You can and will learn the indications for cardiac assist therapy including pathophysiology, insertion and removal, timing and troubleshooting.

Hemodynamics is the dynamics of blood flow. The hemodynamic response constantly monitors and adjusts to conditions in the body and its environment.
We cover the basics of Hemodynamics and work up to advanced Hemodynamics training.

Hemodynamics
This offering starts with the very basics of hemodynamics and builds to more advanced concepts of waveform identification and topics such as continuous cardiac output monitoring and SvO2 assessment.
Also discussed in the course:
- Clinical interventions

- resynchronization and assist devices
Is it ever appropriate to use Nipride on a hypotensive patient? Yes, and you will learn when and why!
